It is therefore with great excitement that we announce our recent collaboration with the cruise ship brand Regent Seven Seas Cruises, known for being the pinnacle of luxury within its sector, for the furnishing of their latest and most splendid cruise ship Seven Seas Grandeur.

This project represents a meeting point between two sublime worlds: luxury navigation and design lighting.

DESIGN WITHOUT FRONTIERS: THE EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION BETWEEN PATRIZIA VOLPATO AND RSSC

The synergy between Patrizia Volpato, emblem of luxury lighting, and RSSC, pioneer of ultra-luxury cruises, embodies a harmonious vision of excellence, precision and attention to beautifully  calibrated details. This unique collaboration has created a sailing experience that redefines the boundaries of luxury and design, transforming every voyage into an unforgettable journey through beauty and innovation.

The ship, a true marvel of naval engineering, extends majestically for 224 meters long and 31 meters wide, with an impressive tonnage of 55,500 tons. Every centimeter of this giant of the seas was designed and created to offer an unparalleled experience to its 744 lucky passengers. With its 372 luxury suites, harmoniously arranged on 10 decks, the ship is not just a means of transport, but an ode to comfort, luxury and refinement.

Lighting was not conceived only as a functional element, but as a key component of the aesthetic experience on board. Each chandelier, each wall lamp, each light spot has been studied meticulously, masterfully balancing functionality and form, to create warm, welcoming and at the same time sumptuous environments.

This does not represent her first assignment in the naval world, but it is a further chapter in her illustrious career of embellishing maritime spaces with timeless creations. Through the masterful use of light, color, and materials, each suite and public space on board becomes a living testimony to the fusion of functionality and aesthetic beauty.

At the heart of the Regent Suite, the main chandelier, a masterfully carved golden sphere, is a tribute to craftsmanship and boundless creativity. This piece, created following the architect’s detailed specifications, is not just a light source, but a visual centerpiece that captures the eye and the imagination, reflecting light in ways that animate the space with a warm luminosity.

The Master Suites are enhanced by the Luna Nuova collection, where the floor lamps, in addition to their elegant and sinuous design, have been expertly re-engineered to ensure maximum stability at sea, a detail that demonstrates how functionality should never preclude style and elegance. These lamps not only illuminate the interior with a soft, welcoming light, but add a touch of sophisticated design, demonstrating how each element has been carefully considered to enrich the onboard experience.

For the Grand Suite and the Observation Lounge, Patrizia Volpato interpreted tailor-made projects that explore the richness and variety of Murano glass art, combining tradition and modernity. These unique pieces, handmade by master glassmakers, represent a fusion of colours, textures and lights that interact with the surrounding environment, creating an intimate and fascinating atmosphere.

The onboard dining experience is elevated to new life through lighting, with each restaurant featuring bespoke installations. Prime 7 evokes the atmosphere of early 20th century American steak houses, thanks to the use of amber and white ceiling lights, milk white Murano glass wall lamps with gold finishes and other amber colored ribbed glass pieces, which together create a warm and inviting environment..

Chartreuse, recalling Paris in 1925, shines by means of the uniqueness of its ceilings adorned with clear, green and black crystals, which capture the sophisticated essence of art deco. This design choice, inspired by Patrizia Volpato’s New York collection, transforms an area of 40 m2 into a dynamic display of crystals. Deployed across multiple levels to create impressive three-dimensional depth, these elements allow guests to immerse themselves in an environment where light and color celebrate an incredible visual feast.

 Compass Rose and La Veranda elevate the dining experience with faceted crystals and handcrafted alabaster, offering breathtaking visuals that make every meal memorable. This commitment to design reaches its pinnacle aboard Seven Seas Grandeur, where art and luxury come together in an unprecedented journey.

In Compass Rose, a masterpiece by Patrizia Volpato captures our attention: the tree of life rising from the floor to the ceiling, with brilliant roots of crystals illuminated by LED lights. This installation transforms the dining room into an enchanting forest, underlining the art of combining aesthetics and innovation in a tribute to nature.
